Michael Cloer Michael Cloer has been the pastor of Englewood for eight years. He has been a Southern Baptist pastor for thirty-five years, serving churches in South Carolina, Arkansas, and New York before coming to Englewood in August, 2000. Since coming to Englewood, the church has more than doubled in attendance and has baptized over 1200 new believers. In 2003, Southern Seminary awarded Englewood with the C.H. Spurgeon “Church Of The Year” Award, which recognizes churches for evangelism, missions, and church growth. His weekly messages are heard on many radio and television stations. Pastor Michael received his Associate of Arts degree from Anderson College, his BA from Carson-Newman College, his M.Div. from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and his D.Min. from Luther Rice Seminary. Among his involvement with associational, state and SBC denominational groups, Dr. Cloer has been Chairman of the Executive Board for the Baptist Convention of New York, the liaison with the United Nations for the Home Mission Board, and the Committee on Committee for the Southern Baptist Convention. In 2002, he was named “Alumnus Of The Year” for Luther Rice Seminary. Dr. Cloer and his wife, Tebra, have three children and three grandsons. |

Jack Givens Jack joined our staff in the fall of 2006. Prior to coming to Englewood and with over twenty years in ministerial service, he has served in various positions including Associate Pastor, Minister of Evangelism and Church Growth, Missions, and has served as Senior Pastor. Jack’s primary responsibility at Englewood is Pastoral Care Ministries for our church. He also gives leadership the following ministries: F.A.I.T.H. Evangelism, Continental Missions, Deacon Ministry, Benevolence Ministry and Pastoral Counseling, PrimeTimers Senior Ministry, and our H.O.P.E Ministries (Conquerors, DivorceCare, DivorceCare for Kids, GriefShare and Quest). Pastor Jack also teaches and leads the Connection Class, What Every Christian Ought to Know and The Way of the Master. Jack is married to Barbara and they have four daughters. |

Chris Pauley Chris joined the staff on August 1, 2010. Prior to EBC, Chris served as
worship pastor in several churches in North Carolina and Virginia over the last 13 years in
full-time worship ministry. His passion is to live as a lead worshiper and focus attention
only on an "Audience of One" (our Triune God) through the Word of God and music. |

Tim Irwin Tim has been on staff at Englewood Baptist Church since 1999 (when he finally answered the call to fulltime vocational ministry after managing Wal-Mart stores for many years). He leads in various areas of ministry and administration including the single adults. He has seen first hand God do marvelous and wonderful things through Englewood and says, We have grown from a few hundred to a few thousand because of Gods faithfulness in response to the peoples prayer, worship, and evangelism. Tim graduated from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) and received his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Tim has been married for 22 years (and counting!) and has two children, Eddie, who has graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and is presently with the Durham Police Department, and his daughter Martha Ann is studying to be a teacher at East Carolina! |

Gene Davis Gene came to EBC on September 1st 2003 from Siloam Baptist Church in Easley SC. There he was responsible for Children, Preschool and Recreation ministries as well as IT services for the church and school. Prior to Siloam, Gene was an Engineering Manager for The Robert Bosch Corporation for 10 years. He also received his degree from SEBTS in December of 2005 and has been in full-time ministry for 7 years. Gene has been married to his precious wife Carole for 22 years and has 3 children, Aaron, Hannah and Seth. Carole serves as Gene's part-time AA and is a member of the EBC choir. |

Greg O'Neil Greg was born and raised in Bristol, Virginia, and attended Grace Baptist church for 18 years. At age 13, while attending a youth camp in Ridgecrest, North Carolina, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Shortly after graduating high school in 1980, Greg enlisted in the United States Air Force (USAF) at the age of 18, and met his best friend and wife, Theresa, while in Basic Training. They were married on February 14, 1981. Serving in the USAF for 22 years, they were blessed to be stationed in seven different countries and have three daughters, Mandy, 28; Cheryl, 26; and Andrea, 12. He retired from active military duty on April 6, 2002. Greg came on board our staff on August 9th 2009. His previous ministry experience include Children’s Pastor, Youth Pastor, Deacon, Sunday School teacher and other areas. Greg is a graduate of Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Education and has an Associates degree from the Community College of the Air Force in Armament Systems Technology. His Master of Divinity degree is from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Greg’s favorites:

William Futrell William surrendered to God’s call into vocational ministry in 2004. He is a graduate of East Carolina University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before serving on staff at Englewood, William served as Minister to Students at Coats Baptist Church in Coats, North Carolina. He has a passion to see people won to the Lord and also has a strong desire to see people develop and grow in the Lord. William married the love of His life, Tracy, on Saturday December 18th, 1999. They have been blessed with three children: Drew (6), Sam (4), and Rebekah (1). |

Jimmy Sanchez This is Jimmy’s first year in this well established ministry which uses sports to reach those unchurched children and families. The sports program we call, Looking Up includes basketball, soccer, flag football, T-Ball and softball. |

Michelle Ferrell Michelle Ferrell is Director of Preschool Ministries. She joined the church staff in 2001 as receptionist and administrative assistant prior. Michelle is now responsible for programming for infants and preschoolers, birth through Pre-Kindergarten, in Bible Fellowship, Sunday Evening Worship Celebrations, Awana Cubbies, and all church-wide events. Michelle volunteered in the Preschool Ministry for 14 years before being called by God to serve as the Preschool Director here at Englewood Baptist in January 2005. Michelle and her husband Mark (Technical Services at EBC) have two teenage daughters, Kristin and Bryan Claire. |

Chris Schank Chris Schank is our Minister of Crossroads. Crossroads is our ministry to Singles 18-24 years of age. Chris is married to Laura (Hamrick) Schank, and despite their youth-like appearance God has given both Laura and Chris years in full time Christian Education ministry. Chris attended Clearwater Christian College and is continuing his education through Dallas Theological Seminary and Piedmont Baptist Graduate School. He has been known to skip a day of work to go surfing and enjoys Disc Golf and Soccer. God has given Chris a joyful burden for the next generation and is using him to encourage and equip tomorrow’s leaders. Pray for Chris and Laura as they minister to and with the college and career age group. |
