Tetanus
Contact your personal physician to make sure your tetanus shot is up to date. 

Hepatitis A & B   Previously, a person had to have 5 shots (2 for Hepatitis A and 3 shots for Hepatits B.)  A new combined shot (3 shots   versus 5 shots) has been developed for Hepatitis A & B.  It is called “Twin Rix” and is available by calling the Health   Department in Nashville @ 459-9819 or in Rocky Mount @ 446-0027.  Please call for an appointment to receive the Twin   Rix due to the limited supply kept on hand at the Health Department.  The cost of the Twin Rix is $50.72 per shot.  This is a tremendous savings.

**Please check with your health insurance provider to see if they will cover the cost of the inoculations.  Many insurance policies will cover the cost.  The Health Department is not permitted to file insurance claims, but you can individually file with your insurance carrier.  It is worth a call to your provider.
