AUGUST NEWSLETTER

Woodstock Baptist Church brought the          “One Way Tour” to the coast of South Africa and it was a hit!!
They “played” to over 4000 people in 3 ½ days and saw over 400 decisions for Christ. They also brought Larry Grays and Lori Salierno, two great speakers, who God used in a powerful way.
Now we are trying to follow these teens up.  We are to start Bible Studies at break time on several of the campuses we visited.
Thank you for coming and all the “open doors” you left for us!

Josh & Tamryn were team leaders for Israel at the Southcity High School Athletics competition.
Josh won several field events and Joseph set school records in javelin, discus & shot.  Jo has the regional meet on Saturday.
(Matric trial exams are the next 2 weeks for Josh pray he does his best)

This month Samuel has been burning up the track as he has been doing Athletics.  What is he good in? Well it seems everything.
He placed first in every event at the school and set school records in long jump, high jump, and 100M.  He had a meet with another local school and also won every event except 800M (3rd).  So he is 2 “overall age winner” medals richer with the regional’s coming next weekend.

Please pray for our home church                         (Englewood BC- Rocky Mount, NC) Pastor Michael Cloer and his wife Tebra.  He has prostrate cancer and will undergo surgery on Sept 12 at Ford Health Centre Detroit.  Also pray for the church, which lost a former pastor to cancer years ago.

Thank you for praying for Steve this month.  He got his stitches out from knee surgery this week and is back to driving.  The negative part is that he caught the flu after surgery.  He passed it to Cala and both have been feeling bad most of the month.  Both are feeling much better and will resume ministry this weekend as we will lead a Zulu camp for about 80 kids.

We have had a great “American Summer” with all our American friends who came to work along side of us.  Thank you for coming and for those who prayed.  God has been at work here.
Everyone has gone now and it has made us miss our family & friends even more. We are however thankful for all the “American goodies” they brought to us.  Yes there are still a few Reeses and a hidden box of pop tarts but that is about all.  We enjoyed it all!
We love you all!!!!!
