Why do we exist?
At Englewood Baptist Church, we are committed to win the lost and develop the saved, beginning at home and extending around the world. We offer you the opportunity for fellowship and Christian growth through Bible Fellowship Groups and an exciting time of worship and relevant teaching. We invite you to worship with us!
Where are we located?
We are located at 1350 S Winstead Avenue in Rocky Mount. From highway 64, take the Winstead Avenue Exit (Exit 138) and turn toward the Nash UNC Hospital (south in Winstead Avenue). You will stay on Winstead Avenue for approximately 2 miles, and the church building will be on the right.

Where do I park?
Of course you are free to park anywhere you wish, but if you take the entrance that is closest to the church sign, this will take you to the designated “Guest Parking” area (these are spaces closest to the building). It is best to arrive early as these spaces fill quickly by our many guests each Sunday. Once you enter the building, please follow the signs to the Welcome Center at the main entrance. Click here for a map of our facility.

When do I need to arrive?
Due to parking considerations, we suggest you plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before the services begin. Sunday Worship times are 9:15 AM, 10:45 AM and 6:00 PM.

What should I wear?
Englewood is a great mixture of people from different backgrounds and cultures. So, dress comfortably! While some people dress up, others will wear casual clothes. Wednesday evenings are always casual.

What about my children?
We LOVE children at Englewood! Every time your child is with us, our commitment is to teach them the Bible all in a fun, exciting atmosphere where children learn best! We also take our responsibility of child security very seriously. Our preschoolers (birth through PreK) are encouraged to attend our classes designed just for them during our Worship Celebrations. This allows parents to focus on worship and allows your children the freedom to move around, make noise, have fun and learn about Jesus all at the same time! Children age Kindergarten and up are encouraged to attend Worship Celebrations with their parents and attend a Children’s Bible Fellowship Group the same hour as their parents. We believe the Bible Fellowship Groups are where you and your family will find your best friendships and places of service in the Body of Christ.

When you bring any child from Birth to 5th Grade to their Bible Fellowship Group for the first time, they will need to complete a one-time registration at one of our Registration Areas. One is located on our Preschool Hallways and the other is located in the main lobby of the Lewis Building Children’s Area.f Here, you will receive your security tags and will be shown where to go next. From that point forward, you will be able to sign your child in using one of our self-serve kiosks. We are so glad to have the opportunity to serve you and your children!

Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, all students (6th grade and up) meet in The Edge student building. On Wednesday Nights, all students meet together in “The House” at 6:30 PM for Praise & Worship led by our student band, “Who Who Thirst.” Middle School students break out after Praise & Worship for small groups called, Word of Life. Videos, testimonies, dramas, group games, give-aways and more are used to creatively communication the Biblical message.

On Sunday mornings, students meet in their own grade-specific Bible Fellowship groups at 9:15 AM and  10:45 AM. All of our leaders have been through a security screening process. We strive to provide a safe, secure, loving environment for the participation of each student where parents feel comfortable leaving their student.

What is a Bible Fellowship Group?
Three times on Sunday mornings, our church family meets for times of Bible study, fellowship, and ministry. The times are 8:00 AM, 9:15 AM, and 10:45 AM. This schedule means that no matter which time you attend worship, you will still have time for Bible study. There are Bible Fellowship Groups that are designed for everyone in your family – birth through our Senior PrimeTimers. The Welcome Center is located in the main lobby, and the people there look forward to helping you find a class that is suited just for you!
