Leadership Team:
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry.

Michael Cloer Feb 2011Dr. Michael Cloer, Senior Pastor
 
Michael Cloer has been the Senior Pastor of Englewood since 2000. He is responsible for leading, feeding and protecting the flock here at EBC.
 
He married his wife, Tebra, in 1972. They have three children, Anna, Jacob and Aaron, all of whom are married. Michael & Tebra have seven grandchildren.
 
He has an A.A. from Anderson College, a B.A. from Carson-Newman College, a Master of Divinity from America Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary. 
 
His life verse is Colossians 1:28, “Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ.”

Jacob CloerJacob Cloer, Associate Pastor of Discipleship

Jacob joined the staff in 2013. He is responsible for Bible Fellowship Groups and Small Group Discipleship. 
 
He married his wife, Melissa in 2005. They have four children, Michael, Gideon, Sophia and Rachel.
 
He has a B.A. from North Greenville University and a Masters of Divinity from Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary.
 
His life verse is Psalm 96:3, “Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.”

Gene DavisGene Davis, Associate Pastor of Students

Gene joined the staff in 2003. He is responsible for Middle School, High School, and College Students. 
 
He married his wife, Carole, in 1987. They have three children, Aaron, Hannah and Seth.
 
He attended UNC-Charlotte as well as Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
 
His life verse is Romans 12:1-2, “I beseech you therefore, brethern, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Greg joined the staff in 2009. He is responsible for the facilities, finances, personnel, and policies of EBC. 
 
He married his wife, Teri, in 1981. They have three daughters, Mandy, Cheryl and Andrea as well as two granddaughters, Salene and Alaya.
 
He has an A.A. in Armament Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a B.S. in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, and his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
 
His life verse is John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
Jordan ReeseJordan Reese, Associate Pastor of Children

Jordan joined the staff in 2013. He is responsible for the Children’s Ministry and Sports Ministry.
 
He is married to his wife, Carolyn, and they have three children, Jeremiah, Hannah Grace, and Clara.
 
He has a B.S. in Religion with specializations in Student Ministry and Church Ministry from Liberty University as a Masters from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
 
His life verse is 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Mark StaufferMark Stauffer, Minister of Worship
 
Mark joined the staff in 1998 as the Orchestra Director. In 2015, he became the Minister of Worship. He is responsible for Music and Drama.
 
He is married to his wife, Kim.
 
He has a B.S. in Music Education from Penn State University.
 
His life verse is the book of Philippians. 
Charles TaylorCharles Taylor, Associate Pastor of Ministry
 
Charles joined the staff in 2015. He is responsible for missions, pastoral care, prayer and the PrimeTimers.
 
His life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
