Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
– Romans 12:10-13
Every year, more people are diagnosed with cancer than go through bankruptcy or file for divorce. In fact, according to the American Cancer Society, over 1.5 million Americans are diagnosed with cancer every year. With each diagnosis, multiple lives are affected, from caregivers to family & friends to entire communities.

Do you know someone who is battling cancer = a neighbor, friend, or loved one?
Is your heart moved with compassion and a desire to help these people?

God gives us Hope for today and tomorrow. But a cancer diagnosis can bring fear and hopelessness to everyone it touches. Our Journey of Hope; a Ministry of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, has developed a training to minister to cancer patients, care givers and family members  showing the love and hope of Christ.  Englewood Baptist Church now has a Cancer Care Ministry Team who are already trained and are currently ministering to families in EBC and in our community. Cancer can strike anyone at anytime and there’s no time to prepare or get things ready. Lives are changed from the moment of diagnosis.  The Cancer Care Ministry Team wants these folks to know that God is always a God of compassion, courage and hope.
