Pastoral Care-01
Help for today and encouragement for tomorrow is what Jesus Christ graciously offers all who will come to Him. It is our desire at Englewood Baptist Church to extend an invitation to come and allow God to help, heal, and restore hope in your life.

The Pastoral Care Ministry is a visible reminder of God’s presence during times of difficulties, pain, and sorrow.  Primary areas of pastoral care include Bereavement, Hospital Visitation, and Biblical Counseling.

BEREAVEMENT

Our Pastoral Care Ministry is designed to provide Biblical comfort and compassion when letting go of a loved one. The death of a family member can be a very difficult time.

When the Pastoral Care office is notified of a death of an Englewood Baptist Church member or their immediate family member, we contact and visit the family as soon as possible.

You are not alone. When the time comes that you need our assistance, do not hesitate to contact Pastor Charles Taylor in the Pastoral Care office, or his assistant, Julie Green at 252.937.8254. In the event that an emergency arises after office hours, please contact the Pastor on Call at 252.458.1303.

HOSPITAL VISITATION

We realize that some of the most difficult times in an individual or family’s life can be when the health condition of a loved one requires the necessity of hospitalization and/or surgery. In either situation, we understand that it can be challenging to discover God’s purpose in these times.

When notified, our pastors and/or deacons will visit Englewood members before surgical procedures or when they are hospitalized, to offer prayer and support.  It is very important that you (or a family member) inform the Pastoral Care office as soon as possible by calling the church office at 252.937.8254.

Additionally, if you have a scheduled hospital admission/surgery date and time, please call the church office during normal church office hours. (Monday–Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm or Fridays, 8:00 am – 12:30 pm).

In the event of a hospital emergency outside of normal office hours, please contact the Pastor on Call at 252.458.1303. You can also e-mail the hospital/surgery information to the Pastoral Care Office at EBChospitalmemo@englewoodbaptist.com.

COUNSELING

The Pastoral Care Office offers free, non-licensed, biblical counseling for both members and non-members and strives to provide a Christ-centered approach to problem solving and relationship resolution.  The goal is that individuals, couples, and families might grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and learn how to apply biblical principles in their life.

If you would like to schedule counseling, or have additional questions, please contact Julie Green in the Pastoral Care Office at 252.937.8254 ext. 229 or by e-mailing her at julie@englewoodbaptist.com.
