The Prayer Ministry at Englewood Baptist Church is made up of people who are committed to prayer on a daily basis – they are committed to expand their knowledge about prayer and are continually striving to deepen their personal prayer life with God.

Prayer and intercession requires teamwork. Alone, we are overwhelmed, but together, we accomplish God’s work. Hour by hour we pass the torch of responsibility from one intercessor to the next.

The Prayer Ministry offers many different ways to pray and get involved:
Sunday Prayer Warrior
Sunday Prayer Warriors are EBC members who have comitted to pray once a quarter during one of our Sunday morning Worship Celebrations or during our evening Worship Celebration.
Prayer guides are provided for our Sunday Prayer Warriors, and a free CD of the sermon is made available after a prayer warrior is finished praying.

The 24 Hour Prayer Room
The EBC Prayer Room is a room set aside and designed for prayer and writing cards of encouragement. Our Prayer Room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Englewood members sign up for an hour a week and come to the Prayer Room at that same hour each week to pray for prayer requests that come in locally and from around the world. All prayer requests are kept strictly confidential.

Virtual Prayer Wall
The Virtual Prayer Wall (VPW) is our “Online Prayer Room.” Those who pray on the VPW are called “Watchmen on the Wall.” Watchmen commit to pray one hour each week on our VPW. The purpose of this ministry is to pray for and offer encouragement to our pastors, church leaders, congregation, community, missionaries, family and friends 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The VPW can be accessed from anywhere around the world as long as you have an internet connection. All requests on our VPW are kept strictly confidential.

Stop to Pray
STP means Stop to Pray when you receive a text message with an urgent prayer request.
When the Pastoral Care office is notified that one of our members is in a critical, or life threatening emergency, we will send out a text message to the cell number you have provided.
Praise the Lord, this is a text message that does not have to be sent often! But, being a part of this ministry is crucial nonetheless when the need arises! If you are a member of EBC and already a part of our VPW, you may be a part of this ministry.
The American church is in a state of spiritual emergency. Like the churches warned in Revelation, we have become lukewarm, compromised, and the light of our witness has grown dim.

We are in desperate need of revival in our world and in our lives. Biblical revival is the extraordinary work of God that produces extraordinary results by which the gospel of Christ expands very, very rapidly.

The beginning of revival is prayer. Further, there’s something unique about united prayer. In fact, Dr. A.T. Pierson said, “There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer.”
Seek First
Join us the first day of each month for united prayer at 6:33 AM and 6:33 PM as we seek first God’s Kingdom. To download the monthly prayer calendar, click here.
Mid-Week Prayer Meeting
Join us every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM for our Mid-Week Prayer Meeting as we pray for our families, our church, our community, our country, and to the end of the earth.
Prayer Resources
It has been said, “If we as believers want to see the same mightly move of God that the early church saw, we must pray just as the early church did. Show me a praying Christian and church, and I will show you a victorious Christian and church.” EBC offers many opportunities for the church to pray together. As not to neglect private prayer, each month a prayer resource will be available to use during your personal, private prayer time.
